Small Claims Service Overview

Purpose
This page allows insurance property adjusters convenient direct electronic access to our research department. It is ideal for small or limited number claims. When you do not need a site visit by a consultant, the equipment is all destroyed, or you have a claim that is being reported after all of the work has been completed. We offer you the ability to submit a listing by e-mail or fax for ACV, Market Cost, and Replacement Cost estimates directly to our research department.

Process
Your request will automatically be assigned a Research Identification Number (RIN) that both of our firms will use to track the assignment as it goes through our system. This RIN will appear on all of our correspondence and invoices as well as your claim number. When your research request is submitted it will be assigned to a researcher within one day of being received and, in most cases, should be completed within one week. Upon receipt of our assignment you will receive a confirmation e-mail that we have received and assigned the loss to a researcher.

Cost
One of the advantages of utilizing this service is a cost savings for your claims expense. Our research is billed at $90.00 per hour currently and, unless unique circumstances occur, no overtime is billed. If you have no need of a site visit or consultant for analysis work this can be a great savings to you. A second advantage of this service is the speed of the electronic forms that allow us to receive, complete, and return the assignment with our invoice all within one day in some cases.

Each assignment will be billed on an hourly basis. We have outlined some estimated costs based on numbers of items to be researched below to help you understand what possible costs may incur. We ask that you try to utilize this service for research purposes only, if you have a job which has to be passed over to an consultant for evaluation, we will call you immediately and let you know what is required to finish the work.
